Spain - Spain informed us that the Benidorm Festival is going to have 2 semifinals and 1 Grand Final. In Benidorm festival 16 songs are going to participate. The names of the songs will be revealed on 9/10/25 and they will revealed on 18/12/25. It's not sure that Spain is going to participate in ESC 2026. They said that if Israel is going to participate in the contest they are going to withdraw from the contest. Meanwhile in the JESC 2025 Spain had revealed the song she is going to send to JESC 2025 in Tiblisi Georgia. Gonzalo Pinillos is going to represent his country with the song Erase Una Vz (Once Upon A Time)

Hence is the videclip of the song:

San Marino informed us that ut's preselecion consist of 2 semifinals and 1 Grand Final. The Grand Final is expected to be on 1/3/26.

 

Montenegro -  RTCG informed us that the Montesong for ESC 2026 is expected to be on 21/12/25. 16 songs are going to participate in Montesong 2025 , the Montenegran preselection for ESC 2026. The songs will be chosen by professional Jury only.The artists have to meet the following requirements:
 

* The songs have to be origonal and should published only after 1/9/25.

* The length of song should not exceed 3 minutes long.

*The artists should carry Montenegran citizenship.

* Te artsts should add the approriate documents to their application  such as biography of the singer , song lyrices and etc.

 

Now the commitee have to select the 16 songs that are going to participate in Montesong 2025 - The Monternegran preselection for ESC 2026.

Iceland - Iceland had extended the date of submitting the songs to it's Songvakkeppnin to ESC 2026. The new date will be  the time that EBU is going to decide whether Israel should  be disqualified from the contest or not. In case Iceland decided to withdraw from the contest , she is going to join other countries such as Slovenia , Netherlands , Ireland and Spain  It is expected that 10 songs are going to participate in the Icelandic preselection for ESC 2026.

 

Finland - The Finnish broadcasting service informed that 416 song had been submitted to the committee of UMK. Now professional experts have to decide about the  7 songs that  are going to participate in UMK 2026 - The Finnish preselection for ESC 2026. The songs will be revaealed on 14/1/26 and in the week of 15-23/1/26 the 7 songs will be revealed including it's videoclips. The Grand Final of UMK 2026 is expected to be on 28/1/26.

 

Latvia - The submission period is over and a group of experts have to select the songs that are going to participate in the Latvian preselection for ESC 2026  The Supernova. In November the songs will be released. Also the format of the Suprnova is being changed. There will be 2 semi finals on 31/1/26 and 7/2/26 and 1 Grand final on 14/2/26. In each semi final there will be 10 songs and 5 songs will go the final. After the selection of the 10 songs to the final there will be a wild card  amng the songs that didnot qulaify and  the 11th song will be selected for the Supernova 2026.

 

EBU informed us that 18 countries are going to participate in coming  JESC2025. Here are the list of the 18 countries:

Italy - Italy - Leonardo Giovannangeli is going to represent Italy in coming JESC 2025. On stage he is going to sing the "Rockstar" The song is going  to be revealed in duo course.

Sweden - Sweden - SVT informed that 3888 songs had been submitted to the comiitee Now the comitte has to choose the  30 songs that will participate in the Swedish Melodfestivalen - The Swedish preselection for ESC 2026. Meanwhile the dated and the cities are being published. the heats saart on 31/1/26 and finish with the final on Stockholm that will be on 7/3/26.

Albania -Albania informed that there are some changes in selecting the song for Festivali I kenges 64 - The Albanian preselection for ESC 2026. Artists wishing to take part in the Albanian preselection can submit their applications now and not later than 30/9/25.

Artists wishing to take part in the festival  have to fulfil the following requirements:

* The maximum length of song is 4 minutes long.

סרביה -  בסרביה נפתחה ההרשמה לקדם  לתחרות אירוויזיון 2026 Pesma Za Evroviziju. אומנים הרוצים להשתתף בקדם הסרבי לתחרות אירוויזיון יכולים להגיש את המועמדות שלהם כעת ולא יאוחר מ-10/11/25. לא נמסר מתי יתקיים הקדם הסרבי לתחרות אירוויזיון 2026. 51% ממילות השיר חייבות  להיות באחת השפות הרשמיות של המדינה. השיר הסרבי לתחרות האירוויזיון ייבחר על ידי חבר השופטים וקהל הצופים כאחד (50%/50%)
 

Serbia - Serbia had informed that artists wishes to take part in Pesma Za Evroviziju can submit their appilications now not later than 10/11/25. 51% of the words of he song should be in one of the official  languages in Serbia. No details were given about the time that The Serbian preselection  is going to be. The winner of the preselection will be chosen by Jury and public voting. (50%/50%)

פורטוגל - בפורטוגל יחולו שינויים בתחרות השירים שישתתפו בגמר שלהם לתחרות אירויזיטון 2026. ראשית בקדם ישתתפו 16 שירים. 8 אומנים יוזמנו על רשות השידור הפורטוגזית וישתתפו הקדם. 6 שירים נוספים  ייבחרו על ידי הועדה. אנשים הרוצים להשתתף בקדם יכולים להגיש את מעומדותם לא יאוחר מ- 31/10/25. השיר הנוסף השביעי ייבחר על יד הזמר שזכה בקדם בשנה שעברה וייצג את ארצו בתחרות האירוויזיון. הזמר הנוסף  השמיני ייבחר על  תחרות הנקראית Prova da Accesso. אמנים הרוצים להשתתף יכולים להגיש את מעומדותם. כיום יש 5 מתמודדים והאומן שיינצח יורשה להשתתף בקדם בתנאי שיחליף לשיר אחר אותו ישיר בקדם

הקדם עצמו יכלול 2 חצאי גמר וגמר אחד. מכל חצי גמר יעפילו 4 שירים שייבחרו על ידי חבר השופטים וקהל המאזינים כאחד (50%/50%). בגמר יתחרו 8 צשירים ולזמר המנצח תינתן האפשרות לייצג את ארצו בתחרות האירוויזיון 2026.

Portugal -  There are some changes is selecting the songs that will be participate in Festival Da Cancao- The Portuguese preselection for ESC 2026.
8 singers are going to be invited by RTP to participate in the festival. Additional 6 songs  will be selected  by RTP commitee. Artists wishes to tame part can submit their applications no later than 31/10/25. The 7th additional song  will be selected by the winner of the former Festival Cancao 2025. and the last additional  comes from Prova Da Acesso programme. Artists wishing to take part in it can submit their candidacy till 30/9/25. The singer will have to song a new song in case he is goingtp aprticipate in the Spanish preselection for ESC 2026.

In the preselection itself there will be 2 semi finals and 1 Grand Final. In each semi final there will be 8 songs where 4 songs will be selected from each semi final by the Jury and Public voting (50%/50%). The winner will be selected again by Jury and Public voting and he will have the oppurtunity to represent Portugal in ciming ESC 2026.

גרמניה -  רת הטלוויזיה הגרמנחית SWR תבחר השנה את נציג גרמניה לתחרות אירוויזיון 2026.  אמנים הרוצים להשתתף בקדם יכולים עתה להגיש את בקשותיהם אבל לא יאוחר מ- 22/10/25. עם סיום מועד הגשת השירים ועדת מומחים מטעם רשות הטלוויזיה תבחן את כושרם ויכולתם הווקלית של האומנים. עם המלצותיה ועדה נוספת הכוללת מומחים בינלאומיים תבחן באומנים אעשר ישתתפו בקדם הגרמני לתחרות אירוויזיון 2026. הקדם צפוי להתקיים בסוף חודש 2/26.
 

Germany -  SWR TV vnetwork is going to select the German representative to ESC 2026/ artists wishing to take part in the German preselection can submit their application now and not later than 22/10/25. When the submission pewriod is over an commite of SWR is going to examing the qyality and the vocakity of the artists themselves. With their reconnendation an international experts are gouing to examinf the candidiares and the artista that are going to take part in coming preswelction. The German preselection for ESC is expected to be in the eand of 2/26.

Croatia - Croatia had cinfirmed it's participation in nESC 2026. Dora bis going to select again the Croatian entry to ESC 2026.. Artists wishing to take part in Dora 2026 cam submit their applications now and not later than 23/11/25  The artista have to meet also the following prerequisites:

* השירים חייבים להיות מקוריים ואוך השירים לא יהיה מעבר ל-3 דקות.

* The songs have to be original and should not exceed 3 minutes long.

* אין לפרסם בכל צורה את השיר  לפני הגשתו לועדה.

* The songs are not aloowed to be published at the time of submitting them tio the commitee.

* גיל האומנים המופיעים על הבמה חייב להיות מעל גיל 16.

* The age of the participants should be above 16 years old.

* האומים חייבים להיות אזרחי קרואטיה

* The singer must carry Croation citizenship.

* אין להשתמש באמצעים אלקטרוניים בעת ביצוע השיר  בתחרות
 

* the use of any Autotone during the live show is forbidden.

* כמות האנשים המורשת להיות על הבמה בעת ביצוע השיר הוגבלה עד ל-6 אנשים בלבד.
 

* The number of people on stage during the performence is limited to 6 persons only.

As soon and the submission period is over a commitee of HRT are going to examing the songs and decide about 24 songs that are going to participate in Dora 2026. 4 addirtional will be selected as a reserve songs in case one of the songs will be disqualified so one of the reserve songs is going to replace him/

אסטוניה- אסטוניה אישרה את השתתפותה בתחרות אירוויזיון 2026. 12 שירים ישתתפו ב- Eesti Laul הקדם האסטוני לתחרות אירוויזיון 2026. 12 השירים ייבחרו על ידי חבר השופטים וקהל המצביעים כאחד. הגמר יתקיים ב-14/2/26. בגמר יהיו 2 סיבובים. בסיבוב הראשון יעפילו 3 שירים לשלב הסופר פיינל. הם ייבחרו על ידי חבר השופטים וקהל המצביעים כאחד. בשלב הסופרפיינל השיר האסטוני  לתחרות האירוויזיון ייבחר על ידי הצבעת הטלווטינג בלבד. ב-7/11/25 ייחשפו שמות השירים שישתתפו בקדם ואילו ב-4/12/25  ייחשפו השירים לציבור הרחב.
 

Estonia - Estonia confirmed it's participation in ESC 2026. 12 songs are going to participate in Eestli Laul 2026 - The estonian preselection for ESC 2026. they will be chosen by Jury and televotings. Te final is expected to be on 14/2/26. In the final threr will be 2 rounds. In the first round 3 songs will proceed to the Superfinal. They will be selected by Jury and televoting. In the SDuperfinal stage the Estonian representative to ESC 2026 will be elected by televoting only. On 7q1qq25 we will know who is going to paticipate in Eesti Laul and on 4/12/25 the 12 songs nwill be released.

ספרד - ספרד- רשות השידור הספרדיץ הודיעה כח הוגשו לועדה כ-870 שירים. עתה תצטרך הועדה לעבור על השירים ולבחור ב-16-20 שירים שישתתפו בקדם הספרדי לתחרות אירוויזיון 2026. Fesival Benidorm. בקדם הספרדי יהיו 2 חצאי גמר שיתקיימו ב-10-12/2/26 והגמר שיתקיים ב-14/2/26. כמו כן ייבחרו 6 שירים נוספים אשר ישמשו כרזרבה במידה ואחד השירים ייפסל מכל סיבה שהיא. 
 

Spain - Spain RTVE informed us that 870 songs were submitted to take part in the Benidor Festival. Now the commitee is going to review the songs an select 16-20 songs to participate in the Spanish preselection for ESC 2026. 6 additional songs will be selected as a reserve songs in case one of the songs will be disqualified and one of the reserve songs is going to replce him. The Benidorm Festival consist od 2 semi fnal that will be on 10-12/2/26 and the Grand Final on 14/2/26. 

 

 Toaday we have some news from JESC headquarter, San Marino , Spain , Ukraine and Georgia.

 

Following the 70 th anniversary of ESC ,Jesc also had  changed it's logo  and now  it'a similar to the  logo of Eurovision Song Contest itself.

סן מרינו בחרה את נציגתה לתחרות אירוויזיון אשר תתקיים בחודש דצמבר בטיבליסי שבגיאורגיה. CRV Martina תייצג את ארצה בתחרות אירוויזיון הילדים 2025. השיר עימו תעלה על במת אירוויזיון הילדים יקרא : Beyond the Stars. לא נמסר מתי יחשף השיר לציבור הרחב.

The Ukrainian preselection for JESC 2025 will be on 12/10/25. 5 kids are ging to comptet in this preselection for hoisting the Ukrainian flag on Tiblisi Georgia on December 2025.

גיאורגיה המדינה המארחת את תחרות אירוויזיון הילדים השנה תחל ב-20-21/9/25 את הליך בחירת הנציג שלה לתחרות אירוויזיון הילדים 2025. כעת מתמודדים 10 ילדים על ייצוג ארצם בתחרות. בתכנית יהיו 2 שלבים . בשלב הראשו ןכל אחד מעשרת הילדים ישיר בסגנון שונה ממתחריו.  5 הילדים אשר יקבלו את מירב הנקודות יעפילו לשלב חצי הגמר. בשלב השני שהוא  חצי הגמר 5 הילדים יתמודדו שוב ו-3 המתמודדים אשר יקבלו את מירב הנקודות יעפילו לשלה הגמר בו יקבע הזוכה שייצג את ארצו  בתחרות אירוויזיון הילדים אשר תתקיים בחודש דצמבר בטיבליסי שבגיאורגיה.
 

In Gerorgia the hosting country the Ranina programme is going to select the Georgian representative to JESC 2025. There will be 2 stages. In the first stשge all the 10 candidates are going to sing in different styles of music.The best 5 candidates who scored the high scores will proceed to the semi final stage. In the second stage- semi final the 5 candidates are to compete again  against each other and  the best 3 candidates will proceed to the final where the Georgian representattive to JESC 2025 will be selected.

 

Following the announcement of Mr Martin Green about  the extension of time of withdrawal  from Eurovision Song Contest without paying a penality . Usually the deadline is 15/9/25 but this year it was extended till the mid of December 2025. On the meeting on the beginning of December the question of participation of  Israeli  the contest will be discussed. EBU claimes that on one hand that every member of EBU has the right to compet in the Eurovision Song Contest but  on the other hand  several countries say that they will participate in the contest only if Israel l will be disqualified from the contest.

The 2 major countries that will withdraw rom the contest if Israel will participate are Slovenia and Iceland. Last month there was the Eurobasket tournament in Poland where this 2 countries played against Israel so how come they are ready to play against Israel in the the basketball tournament while in the ESC 2026   they refuse to participate i This is double vision policy. If they decide to boycott israel they should boycott Israel everywhere and not  boycott Israel in ESC only. Where were this 2 countries when the Hamas had attacked Isreal on 7/10/23  raped and killed Israelis in their homes during their  holiday ( The feast of Tubernacle) . Why they did not condemn the Hamas on this issue  and called the Hamas to release immediately the 48 hostages that are kept  in captivity for more than 700 days in underground tunnels?!!!

Today we have some news from Austria the hosting country and San Marino. In san Marino there will be a preselection consist of 2 semi finalds and1 Grand Final. No additional information was given about this preselection or when it will be held.

 

Austria the hosting country of ESC 2026 informed us that there will be Preselection consist of 1 Grand final. 12 artists are going to take part in the preselection on 20/2/26. Any artists wish to participate have to meet the following requirements:

* The age of the singer should be above 16 years old.

*  The artist can represent 1 country onty.

* The song should be live and the artists can use instruments as  a playback.

* On stage only 6 persons are allowed to perform

*  The length of the song should  not exceed 3 minutes long

* Any political messages in the song is forbidden

*  You are not allowed to use any  AI in any form of the song.

The Jury and the Audience are going to select the Austrian song to ESC 2026 to be held on Wien on 5/2026.
