Following the announcement of Mr Martin Green about  the extension of time of withdrawal  from Eurovision Song Contest without paying a penality . Usually the deadline is 15/9/25 but this year it was extended till the mid of December 2025. On the meeting on the beginning of December the question of participation of  Israeli  the contest will be discussed. EBU claimes that on one hand that every member of EBU has the right to compet in the Eurovision Song Contest but  on the other hand  several countries say that they will participate in the contest only if Israel l will be disqualified from the contest.

The 2 major countries that will withdraw rom the contest if Israel will participate are Slovenia and Iceland. Last month there was the Eurobasket tournament in Poland where this 2 countries played against Israel so how come they are ready to play against Israel in the the basketball tournament while in the ESC 2026   they refuse to participate i This is double vision policy. If they decide to boycott israel they should boycott Israel everywhere and not  boycott Israel in ESC only. Where were this 2 countries when the Hamas had attacked Isreal on 7/10/23  raped and killed Israelis in their homes during their  holiday ( The feast of Tubernacle) . Why they did not condemn the Hamas on this issue  and called the Hamas to release immediately the 48 hostages that are kept  in captivity for more than 700 days in underground tunnels?!!!
