הולנד סולקה מתחרות אירוויזיון 2024. בהודעה שיצאה לעיתונות נאמר כי הזמר ההולנדי התנהג בצורה בלתי נאותה ביום חמישי בלילה כלפי אחד מנשות ההפקה השבדית .הוגשה תלונה לאיגוד השידור האירופי והאיגוד הגיב מיידית בהשעייתו מהתחרות. לאחר שהעניין נמצא בחקירה במשטרת שבדיה , נתקבלה החלטה באיגוד לסלקו מהתחרות. אני לא בעד סילוק אומן כלשהוא מהתחרות אבל אדם המייצג את ארצו ומאבד את עשתונותיו אינו זכאי לייצג מדינה בתחרות כלשהיא בכל רגע נתון.
The Netherlands was disqualified from the Grand final of ESC 2024. According to EBU Press release he was disqualified due to misbehaviour towards one of the Sewish technical members. At first he was not allowed to take part in the various dress rehearsals of the finals. An investigation by the Swedish police is being taken and EBU had decided to disqualify him immediately from the contest. Any artist who is loosing his temper has to be disqualified immediately from any contest especially if he is representing any country.
את יחס הזמר כלפי עדן גולן כבר ראינו במסיבת עיתונאים שהתקיימה ביום חמישי בלילה ל-10 המדינות שעלו לגמר. עיתונאי פולין שאל את עדן גולן האם היא לא חושבת שעצם נוכחותה בתחרות מסכנת אותה ואת שאר הנוכחים בתחרות. מנחה מסיבת עיתונאים ציין מפורשות שהיא אינה חייבת לענות על השאלה ואז הזמר ההולנדי שאל מדוע שלא תענה? אם שמתם לב כשעדן גולן דיברה הוא כיסה את ראשו בדגל ההולנדי אותה הוא מייצג את התחרות. אנחנו חיים בעולם דמוקרטי וזכותו של כל אדם שיהיה לו דעות השונות מדעותי אבל יש גם כללי קודים מסויימים הנדרשים מכל אומן או איש משלחת המשתתף בתחרות. ההתנהגות שלו במהלך מסיבת העיתונאים היתה ילדותית והוא בייש את עצמו ואת המדינה שהיה אמור לייצג אותה.
The artist altitude towards Eden Golan we saw during the winners conference of the qualifiers from the second semi final. A Polish journalist had asked Eden Golan if her persence in the contest is not endangering other paricipants of the contest. The narrator of the press conference immediately said that she is not obliged to answer this question. Then the Dutch artist asked Why Not? If you paid attention during the press conference he covered his head with the Netherlands flag. Ok we are living in democratic world but some Code of Conduct is expected from the artists and the delegations participating in the contest. His behaviour during the press conference was childish and he abused himself and the country he is representing for.
