הכתב יובל ניב הכין כתבה במוסף 7 ימים בידיעות אחרונות אודות שירים שהוצעו לזמרים לשיר אותם אבל הם סירבו והשיר הוצא לזמרים והם זכו לתהילת עולם כששרו אותו. ואיך לא השיר הראשון בכתבה הוא השיר הללויה ששרה אותו גלי עטרי עם להקת חלב ודבש. השיר הזה ייצג את ישראל בתחרות האירווזיון שהתקיימה בירושלים ואף ישראל עימו עשתה דאבל כשפעם שניה ברציפות זכתה בתחרות האירווזיון. הפעם הראשון היה באירוויזיון שנה קודם לכם עם השיר אב ני בי עם הזמר יזהר כהן.
Yuval Niv from Yedihuth Achronoth in 7 days suplement wrote about songs that were offered to singers and they refused to sing them and the singer who accepted the offer them got the fame for it.One of the songs was Hallelujah that Gali Atari sang it with Milk & Honey Band. This song was representing Israel in ESC 1999 and even won the contest. This is the first time that israel is doing Double in the contest. The first time was a year before with A-Ba-Ni- Bi sang by Itzhar Cohen in 1978.
השיר הללויה אפילו הוצע לשתי זמרות לשיר אותו והם יסרבו. הזצרת הראשונה היתה שלומית אהרון והזמרת השנייה היתה ירדנה ארזי.
Halelujah song eas offered to Shlomit Aharon and Yardena Arazi and both of them turned the offer down.

" הללויה ישירו כולם - כולם מלבד שלומית אהרון ,שסירבה לבצע את השיר הזה על אף שנכתב במיוחד עבורה.
Hallelujah everyone is singing except Shlomit Aharon that the song was designed for her but she refused to sing the song.
הסיפור כבר הפך למיתולוגיה. שירם של שמרית אור וקובי אשרת נכתב ביוזמתה של להקת "הכל עובר חביבי" , שאהרון היתה הסולנית שלה , והותאם ליכולות הווקאליות שלל חברי . הלהקה רצתה להגיע איתו לאירוויזיון , וב-1978 שלחה אותו לפסטיבל הזמר , ששימש באותן שנים כמסגרת לבחירת הנציג הישראלי לתחרות. השיר לא נתקבל וכעבור שנה נשלח שוב. הפעם הוא התקבל , אלא שאהרון החליטה שהיא לא מעוניינת לשיר אותו.
The song of Shimrit Or and Kobi Oshrat was written for Hakol Over Habibii Band. Aharon Shlomit was it's solist. The song destined for their vocals ability. This song was sent in 1978 to Israeli song festival but it was turn down by the commitee of IBA. The song was resend a year later and IBA commitee had accepted the song.but meanwhile Slomoit refused to sing it at all.
שבועות אחרים קודם לכן היא התחשמלה וניצלה בנס במהלך , וההערכה היתה שהיא מבקשת לחסוך מעצמה מתחים נוספים. לפי ההערכה אחרת , היא כעסה על חבריה להרכב על שהגישו את השיר לפסטיבל בשנית מבלי לבקש את רשותה. יוצרי השיר ועמיתיה ללהקה ניסו לשכנע אותה לרדת מהעץ : אמרו לה שהשיר חזק , יכול לזכות באירוויזיון , יכול להצליח בכל העולם , אבל אהרון עמדה בסירובה.
There are some romours for her rejection to sing the song. A weeks before she got an electricity shock during her show and then she decided to take a breqak for a while from the show buisness. The second rumour that she was angry on the band colleagues that they resend again the song to the commitee without getting a permission from her. The song writers tried to change her mind but she turned them down.
מי שהרוויחה מהפרשה היתה גלי עטרי , שנבחרה לשיר את "הללויה" כסולנית להקת חלב ודבש, שהוקמה במיוחד ולא לפני שזמרת נוספת סירבה לבצע את השיר, השיר זכה באירוויזיון והיה לאחד הלהיטים הישראליים הגדולים בכל הזמנים , וגם אחד הרווחיים שבהם - מטבע זר. חלק גדול מהרווחים יכול היה להיכנס לחשבון הבנק של אהרון . בנסיבות שנוצרו , הוא הגיע לכיס של עטרי.
Gali Atari had accepted the offer to sing the song with Milk &Honey Band. This song turned to be one of the most popular songs and gave them a nice income. This income went to Gali Atari instead of Shlomit Aharon.
לירדמה ארזי ישנם כמה שירי אירוויזיון שוויתרה עליהם וזמרים אחרים שרו אותו במקומה. מדובר על השירים חי שנמסר לעופרה חזה , כאן שהועבר לאורנה ומשה דץ , הסיבה לסירובה היה בישראליות יתר. בשנות ה-80 היא הושפעה ממלחמת לבנון והיא השפיעה על מצב הרוח שלה ועל בחירת השחרים שהקליטה.השיר הללויה גם כן נידחה על ידה בטענה שהעדיפה להנחות את תחרות אירוויזיון 1979 מאשר להתחרות בו כזמרת.
Yardena Arazi had several offers to sing a songs that were representing Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest but she turns the offers down. The songs were Hi(Israel ESC 1983) that Ofra Haza sang at last , Kaan(Israel 1991) that the Duo Datz sang and Hallelujh of course. She preferred to be on of the hosts os ESC 1979 rather then be one of the artists competing there. The reason for rejecting th songs is that there were too much patriotic for her.

In the end of the article Yuval Niv is asking Shlomit Aharon about Hallelujah and she said that it was her fault that she did not sing the song. There were arguments among the members of the band and the outcome of it was that she did not sing the song but there was a twist that she sang later the song with Reuven Gvirtz who was one members of the band and now his son is married with her daughter and they even share a grandaughter together.

מלטה - מלטה שיבצה את 16 האומנים אשר ישתתפו בקדם שלה לתחרות אירווזיון הילדים 2022. הקדם יתקיים ב- 2/10/22. 75% מהקולות יבואו מחבר השופטים ו-25% מהקולות יבואו מקהל הבוחרים. בכל מקרה יפרסמו רק את שלושת אשר יגיעו ראשונים.
Malta had allocaqted it's 16 artists participating in it's preselection for JESC 2022. It's preselection is scheduled to be on 2/10/22. The overall votes will come from 75% Jury and 25% from Audience. Moreover only the first 3 places will be anniounced.

דנמרק ואסטוניה ייערכו את גמר הקדם שלהם לתחרות אירווזיון 2023 ב-11/2/23.
Denmark & Estonia finals of the preselections for ESC 2023 is scheduled to be on 11/2/23.
 
דנמרק היתה המדינה הראשונה מבין השניים שהודיעה על קיום הגמר בתאריך הנ"ל. בגמר הדני ישתתפו 8 שירים בלבד.
Denmark was the first country to announce that it's final is going to be on 11/2/23. 8 songs are going to participate in it's final for ESC 2023.
אומנים הרוצים להגיש את המועמדות שלהם לקדם יכולים לעשות זאת החל מהיום ולא יאוחר מ-28/10/22.
Artists who want to take paert can submit their applictions now and not later than 28/10/22.
אסטוניה הולכת בעקבות דנמרק וגם היא עורכת את גמר הקדם שלה ב-11/2/23. אסטוניה בניגוד לדנמרק בקדם של לה 2 חצאי גמר וגמר אחד. שני חצאי הגמר יתקיימו
ב-12-14/1/23. הגמר כאמור יתקיים ב-11/2/23. נוסף לכך על האומנים הרוצים להשתתף בקדם לעמוד בתנאים הבאים:
Estonia is following denmark and also decided that it's final for ESC 2023 will be on 11/2/23.In the Estoniam Eesti laul there will be 2 semi finals on
12-14/1/23 and final on 11/2/23. Artists who want to take part have to meet the foloowing requirements:
עליהם להגיש את המועמדות שלהם לא יאוחר מ-20/10/22. כמו כן הגשת המועמדות כרוכה בתשלום. אם זה לשירים בשפה המקומית אז האומן צריך לשלם 50 יורו בלבד אבל אם השיר הורא בשפה זרה או ב-2 שפות הם צריכים לשלם 100 יורו. במידה ויגישו המועמדות לאחר תאריך זה זה כרוך בתשלום כפול דהיינו לשירים אסטוניים 100 יורו ולשירים זרים 200 יורו.
The applicants have to submit their applications not later than 20/10/22.if they submit their applications before 20/10/22 they will have to pay 50 Euros for Estonian song and 100 Euros for song in other languages.Artists who want to submit later will have to pay twice accordingly.
כמו כן כל זמר יכול להגיש עד 5 שירים בקדם הנ"ל.
Each artist can submit up till 5 songs to the Estonian preselection for ESC 2023.
 
אלבניה הודיעה כי השנה בקדם , הקהל יוכל לשאת דברו אבל לא נמסרה בהודעה אחוז המשוקלל שלו.
Albania said that this year there will be public televoting in Festgivali I Keneges. They did not quote it's ratio in the contest.

גמר קדם המלטזי לתחרות אירוויזיון 2023 יתקיים ב-11 פברואר 2023 The final of the Maltese preselection for ESC 2023 will be on 11 February

רשות השידור המלטזית הודיעה כי גמר קדם המלטזי לתחרות אירוויזיון 2023 יתקיים ב- 11/2/23. בקדם המלטזי יהיו 4 רבע גמר חצי גצר אחד וגמר אחד. בקדם המלטזי ישתתפו 40 שירים. 10 שירים בכל רבע גמר ומכל כל רבע גמר יעפילו 6 שירים. בחצי הגמר יתמודדו 24 שירים מתוכם 16 שירים יעפילו לגמר.
The Maltese TV informed that the Maltese final preselection foe ESC 2023 is going to be on 11/2/23. In the Maltese prese preselection there will be 4 quarters fina , 1 semifinal and 1 final. 40 songs are going to compete in the maltese preselectiom. 10 songs on each quarter, From each quarter 6 songs will go to simifina. Thus in semifinal 24 songs are going to compete and in the final only 16 are going to participate.

ובכן עונת המלפפונים הסתיימה והמדינות השונות מתחילות להוציא קול קורא לאמנים להשתתף בקדמים השונים שלהם לקראת תחרות אירוויזיון 2023 אשר תתקיים בחודש מאי באנגליה.
A new season of Eurovision is coming and various countries opened their submission for artists to participate in their preselections for ESC 2023.
ישראל - ראשית המנהלים של נועה קירל עורכים מחנה קיץ למלחינים ולזמרת עצמה בה ייבחר ויכתב השיר שנועה תשיר מעל במת האירוויזיון באנגליה. קיימים שמועות לגבי השתתפותם של המלחינים הבאים : דורון מדלי , רון ביטון , ג'ורדי , ניצן ריקוב , איתי שמעוני ואיתי פלד. נועה קירל תיקח חלק פעיל במחנה זה.
Israel - A song writer camp will be held in Israel where Noa Kirl and some songwriters will meet and compose the song that is going to represent israel in coming ESC 2023. There a rumours that the following songwriters are going to participate : Doron Medalie , Ron Beaton , Jordei , Nitzan Rakov , Itay Shimoni and Eitan Peled. Noa Kirl is going to play an active role in this camp.
שאר המדינות הוציאו קול קורא לאמנים להשתתף בקדמים שלהם.
The rest of the countries opened their submissions and call their artists to take part in their preselections.
 
סרביה היתה מדינה הראשונה שיצאה בקול קורא. על האומנים להגיש את הבקשות החל מ-1/9/22 ועד ה- 15/10/22.
Serbia was the first country to open it's submissions. Artists who can to take part can send their submissions from 1/9/22 till 15/10/22.
כמו כל על האומנים לעמוד בתנאים הבאים בעת הגשת השיר.
The artists have also to comply with the followings rules:
* שפת השיר חייבת להיות באחת השפות הרשמיות הנהוגות בסרביה. השפות הרשמיות הנהוגות בסרביה הן : סרבית , אלבנית , הונגרית , רומנית קרואטית , סלובקית ואוקראינית.
The song has to be in one of the official languages in Serbia.
* בעת הגשת השיר יש לכלול את הפרטים הבאים " שם השיר , המילים , ביוגרפיה מלאה של הזמר , כתובת האי מייל שלו , הרשתות החברתיות בהן הוא פעיל והדרכים ליצירת קשר עימו.
The application have to include the name of the song , The lyrics of the song , A full biography of the artists, His email address and his social networks he is activating. Also the artists has to notify the ways he can be contacted.
* על השיר להתפרסם רק לאחר 1/9/22.
The song has to be released after the 1/9/22.
* מספר האנשים היכולים להופיע בעת ובעונה על הבמה הינו 6 אנשים בלבד.
The number of paeople allowed on stage is limited to 6 people only.
* גיל האנשים המופיעים על הבמה חייב להיות מעל גיל 16 במאי 2023
The age of people on stage should br above 16 years old on may 2023.

ספרד היא המדינה שיצאה בקול קורא לאמנים להשתתף ב- Benidorm Festival. הקדם הספרדי לתחרות אירוויזיון 2023.
Spain had also opened it's submissions and call to artists to participate in Benidorm festival for ESC 2023.
* אמנים הרוצים להשתתף בפסטיבל עליהם להגיש את המועמדות החל מ-1/9/22 ועד ה-12/10/22.
Artists wishes to take part can submit their applicated from 1/9/22 till 12/10/22.
כמו כל האומנים לעמוד בתנאים הבאים בעת הגשת המועמדות שלהם.
Artists who want to take part have to meet the following prerequisites:
* הזמר חייב להיות אזרח או תושב ספרד.
The artists has to hold Spanish citizenhip or to be Spanish residency.
* במקרה של להקה על 50% מחברי הלהקה להיות תושבי או אזרחי ספרד.
50% of the band members have to carry Spainish citizenship or residency.
* אחד ממלחיני השיר חייב להיות תושב או אזרח ספרדי.
One of the song composers has to be Spanish residence or Spanish citizen
* השיר חייב להיות באחד מהשפות הרשמיות של במדינה אבל יכולים לכתוב 40% ממילות השיר בכל שפה שיחפצו בה.
The song must be in one of the official languages of Spain but the lyrics of the song can be in any language but not more than 40% of the song.
* רשות השידור הספרדית שומרת עצמה הזכות להזמין אומנים נוספים אשר לא הגישו את מועמדותם להשתתף בפסטיבל.
RTVE reseve the right to invite other artists to take part in the benidorm Festival.

בשני חצאי הגמר ישתתפו 16 שירים מהם יעפילו 8 שירים לגמר. רשות השידור הספרדית תבחר ב-6 אומנים נוספים אשר ישמשו כרזרבה במידה ואחד האומנים יצטרך לפרוש מהתחרות.
In the 2 semi finals 16 song are going to compete and in the final 8 songs is goimng to compete. RTVE reserve the right to choose another 6 artists in case one of the artists will not be able to attend the Festival so one of the 6 artists is going to replace him.
שקלול ההצבעה יהיה כדלקמן - 50% מכלל הקולות יבוא מחבר שיפוט בינאומיץ בחבר השיפוט בינלאומי יהיו אומנים מקומיים ובינלאומיים. 25% מהקולחות יבואו מחבר שופטים אקראי ו- 25% יבואו מקהל הבוחרים.
The votes for the Festival will 50% from Professional Jury . 25% from demoscopic Jury and 25 % from Public Voting.

פולין חשפה היום את שמות השירים אשר ישתתפו בחצי גמר קדם הראשון שלה לתחרות אירוויזיון הילדים 2022.
Poland disclosed today the names of the songs particiating in it's first semi final in it's preselection for JESC 2022.
בחצי הגמר הראשון ישתתפו 7 שירים אבל רק שיר אחד יעפיל לשלב הגמר.
In the first semi final 7 songs are going to participate but only 1 song will go to the final.

רשות השידור האיסלנדית מסרה היום כי גמר קדם האיסלנדי לתחרות אירווזיון 2023 יתקיים ב-4/3/23.
The final of the Icelansdic preselection for ESC 2023 is scheduled to be on 4/3/23.
בקדם האיסלנדי יהיו 2 חצאי גמר וגמר אחד. 2 חצאי הגמר יתקיימו ב- 18 וב-25 לחודש פברואר 2023 והגמר כאמור יתקייפ ב-4 מרץ 2023..
In the icelandic preeselection there will be 2 semi finals and one final. The 2 semifinals is going to be on 18/2/23 and 25/2/23. The final is expected to be on 4/3/23.
אומנים הרוצים להמשתתף בקדם האיסלנדי יכולים להגיש את המועמדות שלהם החל מהיום ולא יאוחר מ-4/10/22. במהלך חודש ינואר 2023 יפורסמו שמות השירים והאומנים אשר ישתתפו בקדם האיסלנדי לתחרות אירוויזיון 2023.
Artists who wishers to participate in the Icelandic preselection for ESC 2023 can submit their applications from now onwards till 4/10/22. the 10 songs who are going to take part in the Icelandic preselection will be revealed in January 2023.

Well we are approaching to a new season in the Eurovision Song Contest . From 1/9/22 we can disclosed the song you are submitting to the various prreselections. Sone countries give us information about changing the format in selecting their songs for the contest. Uk did not decide on which city is going to host the contest but for the third time prerecorded backing vocals will be allowed in the contest.
בלגיה - רשות השידור VRT הודיעה כי השנה ייערך קדם והקהל ייבחר את נציג בלגיה לתחרות אירוויזיון. הפעם האחרונה שנבחר זמר היה בשנת 2014 ומאז רשויות השידור בבלגיה בחרו את הזמר והשיר שישירו בתחרות. הקדם יתפרש על פני 5-7 שבועות.
The VRT broadcasting service informed us that this year they are going to narrate a preselection and actually the audience is going to select the Belgian song for ESC 2023. This is the first time since 2014. Betweem 2015-2022 the Belgian broadcasters themselves select the singer and the song for the ESC contestץ The duration of the Belgian preselection will be over 5-7 weeks.

Georgia - Georgia decided this year to change the reality show who is going to select the Georgian representative to ESC 2023. The local show
The Voice is going to select the Georgian representative to ESC 2023 instead of Georgian Talent. Artists who wishes to take part can submit heir applications from 20/8/22 till 20/9//22.
שוויצריה - רשות השידור השוויצרית הודיעה כי אמנים הרוצים להשתתף בקדם השוויצרי יכולים להגיש את המועמדות שלהם החל מ- 25/8/22 ועד 8/9/22 שעה 22:00 שעון מקומי.
כל השירים ייבחנו על ידי 2 צוותי שיפוט ומשקל כל שוות צוות יהווה 50%. הצוות הראשון שיבחן את השירים יהיה קבוצה בת 100 אנשים הנמנים מאוהדי תחרות האירוויזיון. הצוות השנני יורכב מ-20 שופטים ששפטו במדינותיהם בעבר בקדמים השונים בעבר.
אין הגבלות לגבי נתינות הזמר או השפה בה ייבחר לשיר את השיר אבל במקרה של שוויון תינתן עדיפות לזמר בעל הנתינות או תושב המדינה.השיר השוויצרי לתחרות אירווזיון 2023 ייחשף בתחילת שנת 2023..
Switzerland - The Swiss broadcasting serivice informed that artists who wanr to take prt in the Swiss preselection for ESC 2023 can submit their applications from 25/8/22 till 8/9/2 22:00 local time.Each song is going to be evalulated by 2 jury members. The first jury composed of 100 Eurvision fans and the second jury composed os 20 proffesional members who were judges in their homeland preselections. Each jury voe will be 50% of the overhall votes.
There is no limit of the nationality of the artists or in the language he wants to sing but in case of even a preferance will be given to the Swiss Nationality or Residence. The Swiss entry for ESC 2023 is going to be closed in the beginning of 2023.
שבדיה - בקדם השבדי ישתתפו 28 שירים. 10 שירים חייבים להיות בשפה השבדית אבל ניתן להגיש אותו שיר כמה פעמים בתנאי שיושר בשפות שונות.
Sweden - In the Swedish Melodfestivalen there will be 28 songs. 10 songs will be in the Swedish language. Any song can be presented more than 1 time but the lyrics should be in a different language..

The artists should comply with additional prerequisites:
50% מהמלחינים והכותבי חייבים להיות נשים.
50% of the composers and the lyricits should be a women.
אורך השיר יהיה בין 2-3 דקות ויעמדו בדרישות האירוויזיון.
Te duration of the song should be 2-3 minutes long comply with the Eurovision rules.
על הבמה מותר להיות עד 8 אנשים. במידה והשיר יזכה בתחרות אז על במת האירווזיון יותר 6 אנשים בלבד.
8 people allowed to be on stage but in case the somng will win the preselection then the numbers of people that will be on stage will be reduced to
6 people only.

סן מרינו חשפה היום את התוכניות שלה לקראת תחרות אירוויזיון 2023. התוכנית Una Voce Per San Marino תמשיך זו השנה השנייה בבחירת נציג סן מרינו לתחרות אירווזיון 2023.
san marino revealed it's plans for ESC 2023/ Una Voce Per San Marino continue to vote the san marino representative to ESC 2023.
תצורה Format
1. הקדם יכלול 5 חצאי גמר וגמר אחד
1. There will be % semi finals and 1 final in the san marino preselction for ESC 2023.
2. הגמר יתקיים ב-25/2/23
2 The final will be on 25/2/23.
3. הגמר יתקיים ב- Teatro Nuovo בעיר Dogana.
3. the final will be on Teatro Nuovo in the city of Dogano.
4. הזוכה ישיר שיר מקורי בגמר.
4 . The winner will sing an original song in the final.
5. השלב הראשון יתקיים בין 28/10/22 ועד 27/1/23 בו ייבחרו 60 השירים.
5. The first stage is going to be between 28/10/22 and 27/1/23 where 60 songs will be selected.
6. 60 השירים השונים ישובצו בחצאי הגמר השונים.
6. The 60 songs will be shortlisted in the various semi finals.
7 לא יהיה בידול בין אומנים ותיקים לאומנים חדשים
7. There won't be different path for established artists.

הגשת השירים Song Submission
1. אין הגבלה לגבי אזרחות האמן או השפה אותו רוצה לשיר.
1 The artist can sing the song in any language he wishes and can come from any country .
2. אורך השיר לא יעלה על 3 דקות.
2. the duration of the song won't esceed the 3 minute long.
3. על האומן להיות מעל גיל 16 ב- 30/11/22.
3. The artists has to be above the age of 16 on 30/11/22.
4. על כל אומם להגיש 2 שירים. שירי מקורעי ושיר קאבר אחד.
4. Every artist has to submit 2 songs. 1 original song and 1 cover song.

6. דמי השתתפות לאזרחי סן מרינו הינו 50 יורו ועליהם לשלם זאת לא יאוחר מ- 3/12/22.
6. The fees foe San marino citizenship is 50 Euro and it should be paid no later than 3/12/22.
7. דמי השתתפוןות לאוןמנים הבאים מארצות אחרות הינו 100 יורו והם צריכים לשלם את זה לא יאוחר מ-29/10/22. באם רוצים להרשם מאוחר יותר עליהם לשלם 150 יורו חא יאוחר מ-20/1/23.

הסיפור מאחורי השיר דיווה The story behind the song Diva

בתחילת השבוע צביקה פיק - המאסטרו החלך לעולמו ובגליון 7 לילות של ידיעות אחרונות רז שכניק סיפור את הסיפורי מאחורי הקלעים של השיר האלמותי דיווה. השיר שהביא את תחרות האירווזיון פעם שניה לישראל בשנת 1998.
 
in the begiining of the week Svika Pick - The Maestro had passed away. Raz Schecnik from Yedihuth Achronoth wrote an article about the songs he had composed. One if the songs was Diva the ultimate song that won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998 in Birminghan United Kingdom. Dana actually brought the Eurovision contest for the second time to Jerusalem Israel.
השיר דיווה הולחן על ידי צביקה פיק ומילות השיר נכתבו על ידי יואב גינאי.הביצוע כמובן היה של דנה אינטרנשיונל.
The song Diva was composed by the Maestro Svika Pick . Yoav Ginai wrote the lyrics abd Dana International was the singer of it.

Raz Schecnick wrote in his article:
"שמעתי על דנה הרבה מהמועדונים בניינטיז" , סיפר פיק בראיון לידיעות אחרונות ."רציתי לכתוב לה שיר רציני , לא צחוקים להופעות, כי בהתחלה היה הייתה יותר ידועה כדראג -שואו. בסופו של דבר עשיתי איתה מעט מאוד דברים , אבל יצאו להיטי ענק , שבזמנו גם שברו תקרות זכוכית מבחינתה. ב-1998 פנו אליי מרשות השידור , כמו לכל מלחינים , וביקשו שני שירים .לא אמרו לאיזה אמן. הלחנתי שני שירים, אחד להיי פייב והשני היה 'דיווה'. רציתי שדנה תשיר אותו , הרגשתי שהוא מתאים לקול שלה. יצרתי קשר עם יואב גינאי כדי שיכתוב מילים , ועם עופר ניסים , המנהל של דנה אז. עופר שלח אותה אליי והשמעתי לה את השיר כמו שאני הקלטתי אותו. אני זוכר שהיא הלכה די מהר כי נהג חיכה לה למטה"
" I had heard about Dana from the Clubs in the ninetees." Pick was saying in his previous intervierws to Yedihuth Achronoth. " I wanted to compose her a serious song" On that time she was in the drag show buisness. In 1998 IBA had asked me like other copmpsers to compose 2 songs. They did not diclose the names of the singers to whom the songs was applied. I composed 2 songs , the first one was coposed to High 5 band and the other one Diva .
I wanted that Dana will sing it because it had fitted her. I called to Yoav Ginai that he write the lyrics of the song. I also called to Offer Nissim who was her manager on that time. Offer Nisim send dana and she heard the song but she went shortly because the taxi driver was waiting for her.

יואב גינאי : 'דיוה לנצח' , כך כתב לי צביקב פיק בוואטסאפ , ממש לפני שבועיים כששלח לי בהתרגשות גרסה חדשה של השיר בגרמנית. את 'דיווה' כתבתי במונית בניו-יורק בהשראת תקליטן במועדון שהציג את הזמרת שלצידו כ'דיווה שלי' . את הטקסט הרצוף בשמות של נשים גדולות מהחיים ייעדתי לדנה אינטרנשיונל שמבחינתי היתה המתאימה ביותר לנצח באירוויזיון. החלטתי למסור בעצמי את הטקסט לצביקה פיק מתוך אמונה שמלחין מחונן , מי שיצר להיטי פופ ענקיים , יוכל לפצח את הנוסחה הנכונה הייחודית שבהובלתה של דנה ויעצים את הסיכוי לנצחון"
Yoav Ginai: 'Diva Forever' Svika wrote me in the watsup. He sent me the song in a German version. I wrote Diva in a voyage with a taxi driver. The inspiration for the name I got from a noght club where the DJ had represented the singer as a his own Diva. The text with the big names he had devoted for Dana International that was suitable to sing this song. I decided to give this song to Svika Pick who was a genius composer. He could have found the right solution that the song would win the Eurovision song Contest.

And this is the story how it happened:
"במאי 1988 בברמינגהאם , אחרי הצבעה מורטת עצבים , עלינו דנה צביקה ואני לבמה כזוכים הגדולים בתחרות . השיר עשה ועודנו עושה היסטוריה בכך שהפך סמל בינלאומי לטולרנטיות ולקבלת האחר. עבור צביקה זה היה פרס מיוחד שהזניק לו מחדש את הקריירה שהגיעה לשיא עם העלאת 'מרי לו' , המחזמר משיריו בתיאטרון הלאומי הבימה".
In May 1988 on Birmingham at last Svika , Dana and me went on stage. as the winners of the contest. The song made a history and he became the sign of tolerence and accepting the other. For Pick it was a prize that enlighten his carrer with his show 'Mary Lou' in the Habimah national theatre.

Pick ; "from the beginning i thought that this is a superb song. I thought that if the song performed well the chanches that he will win the contest is quite high. In the accreditation center i had asked the lady from where we are going to enter the stage as a winner. Everybody there was laughing because they believed that this song is going to reach the tenth place only. The irony of fate that this lady came and asked me to enter to the stage as the winner of the contest.

"הרווחתי , אבל לא הרבה . אני מאוד אוהב את דנה אינטרנשיונל , למרות שהיו תקופות של מתחים בינינו. עכשו אנו מדברים על לעשות עוד שירים."
I did not make much but I love Dana International . There was time we did not get well but we were talking about making songs together.
דנה אינטרנשיוניל :" מי שבאמת היתה האם היולדת של דיווה זה יואב גינאי . סיפר שיצא ממועדון בניו-יורק בשעות הלילה נושק לבוקר , טייל ברחובות , חשב עליי , הוציא קופסת גפרורים או משהו דומה והחל לכתוב את המילים שיפזמו שנה אחרי בכל העולם. כשחזר הוא שלח לנו את השיר בפקס , והאמת? השיר נדחף למגירה. לא ממש היינו בעניין של אירוויזיון. לא היה לחן ואפשר להודות שדם הטקסט לא הלהיב אותנו נורא. אבל גינאי הוא לא אחד שמוותר. כשהבין שהטקסט צפוי לסיים את חייו בחשיכת המגירה והתאריך לסיום מועד שליחת השחרים מתקרב. הוא שרל אם איכפת לנו שיעביר את הטקסט לפיק , לא היה אכפת".
Dana International : Yoav Ginai had actually wrote the song. Yoav told that he was thinking about me and he wrote the song on a box of matches as he went out from a club in New York. He had fax us the song. At first we did not like the song and we put it aside. We were not thing about the Eurovision Song Contest. Yoav did not give up and asked if we can give the song to Svika Pick for composing it. We told him yes.

And what happened afterwords?
"יומיים אחרי צביקה הגיע להשמיע את השיר על הפסנתר . הלכנו לאולפן . סקיצה , נסיון . וביום האחרון להגשת השירים נמסרה בבהילות מעטפה אצל השומר בכניסה לאולפני הרדיו בקריה בתל-אביב. בוועדה שבחרה את השירים ניטש ויכוח מר . 'דיוה' או בלדת פסנתר של ארקדי דוכין. אלה אומרים שהוא יותר מכובד ואלו האומרים שהיא יותר מתאימה. בסוף על חודו של קול אחד , 'דיוה' נבחר אני היייתי באוטו כששמעתי את קריין החדשות מודיע : ' שירם של צביקה פיק ויואב גינאי בביצועה של דנה אינטרנשיונל , דיוה, נבחר לייצג את ישראל באירוויזיון ' . וככה החל מסע של השיר שאף אחד לא העז אפילו לחלום , עד לאן הוא יגיע וכמה שהוא יהיה אינסופי".
Two days later Zvika Pick came and played the song on a piano. Then there was a sketch of the song .We had submitted song in the last day of submissions and we gave the application to the guard in the Radio Station in tel-Aviv. In the commitee there was a big dispute which song is going to represent Israel in the ESC. Diva won in 1 point and I had heard in the radio saying that the song of Svika pick , Yoav Ginai and Dana International is going to represent israel in the coming ESC.Here start the never ending story of this song.

הכתב יובל ניב הכין כתבה במוסף 7 ימים בידיעות אחרונות אודות שירים שהוצעו לזמרים לשיר אותם אבל הם סירבו והשיר הוצא לזמרים והם זכו לתהילת עולם כששרו אותו. ואיך לא השיר הראשון בכתבה הוא השיר הללויה ששרה אותו גלי עטרי עם להקת חלב ודבש. השיר הזה ייצג את ישראל בתחרות האירווזיון שהתקיימה בירושלים ואף ישראל עימו עשתה דאבל כשפעם שניה ברציפות זכתה בתחרות האירווזיון. הפעם הראשון היה באירוויזיון שנה קודם לכם עם השיר אב ני בי עם הזמר יזהר כהן.
Yuval Niv from Yedihuth Achronoth in 7 days suplement wrote about songs that were offered to singers and they refused to sing them and the singer who accepted the offer them got the fame for it.One of the songs was Hallelujah that Gali Atari sang it with Milk & Honey Band. This song was representing Israel in ESC 1999 and even won the contest. This is the first time that israel is doing Double in the contest. The first time was a year before with A-Ba-Ni- Bi sang by Itzhar Cohen in 1978.
השיר הללויה אפילו הוצע לשתי זמרות לשיר אותו והם יסרבו. הזצרת הראשונה היתה שלומית אהרון והזמרת השנייה היתה ירדנה ארזי.
Halelujah song eas offered to Shlomit Aharon and Yardena Arazi and both of them turned the offer down.

" הללויה ישירו כולם - כולם מלבד שלומית אהרון ,שסירבה לבצע את השיר הזה על אף שנכתב במיוחד עבורה.
Hallelujah everyone is singing except Shlomit Aharon that the song was designed for her but she refused to sing the song.
הסיפור כבר הפך למיתולוגיה. שירם של שמרית אור וקובי אשרת נכתב ביוזמתה של להקת "הכל עובר חביבי" , שאהרון היתה הסולנית שלה , והותאם ליכולות הווקאליות שלל חברי . הלהקה רצתה להגיע איתו לאירוויזיון , וב-1978 שלחה אותו לפסטיבל הזמר , ששימש באותן שנים כמסגרת לבחירת הנציג הישראלי לתחרות. השיר לא נתקבל וכעבור שנה נשלח שוב. הפעם הוא התקבל , אלא שאהרון החליטה שהיא לא מעוניינת לשיר אותו.
The song of Shimrit Or and Kobi Oshrat was written for Hakol Over Habibii Band. Aharon Shlomit was it's solist. The song destined for their vocals ability. This song was sent in 1978 to Israeli song festival but it was turn down by the commitee of IBA. The song was resend a year later and IBA commitee had accepted the song.but meanwhile Slomoit refused to sing it at all.
שבועות אחרים קודם לכן היא התחשמלה וניצלה בנס במהלך , וההערכה היתה שהיא מבקשת לחסוך מעצמה מתחים נוספים. לפי ההערכה אחרת , היא כעסה על חבריה להרכב על שהגישו את השיר לפסטיבל בשנית מבלי לבקש את רשותה. יוצרי השיר ועמיתיה ללהקה ניסו לשכנע אותה לרדת מהעץ : אמרו לה שהשיר חזק , יכול לזכות באירוויזיון , יכול להצליח בכל העולם , אבל אהרון עמדה בסירובה.
There are some romours for her rejection to sing the song. A weeks before she got an electricity shock during her show and then she decided to take a breqak for a while from the show buisness. The second rumour that she was angry on the band colleagues that they resend again the song to the commitee without getting a permission from her. The song writers tried to change her mind but she turned them down.
מי שהרוויחה מהפרשה היתה גלי עטרי , שנבחרה לשיר את "הללויה" כסולנית להקת חלב ודבש, שהוקמה במיוחד ולא לפני שזמרת נוספת סירבה לבצע את השיר, השיר זכה באירוויזיון והיה לאחד הלהיטים הישראליים הגדולים בכל הזמנים , וגם אחד הרווחיים שבהם - מטבע זר. חלק גדול מהרווחים יכול היה להיכנס לחשבון הבנק של אהרון . בנסיבות שנוצרו , הוא הגיע לכיס של עטרי.
Gali Atari had accepted the offer to sing the song with Milk &Honey Band. This song turned to be one of the most popular songs and gave them a nice income. This income went to Gali Atari instead of Shlomit Aharon.
לירדמה ארזי ישנם כמה שירי אירוויזיון שוויתרה עליהם וזמרים אחרים שרו אותו במקומה. מדובר על השירים חי שנמסר לעופרה חזה , כאן שהועבר לאורנה ומשה דץ , הסיבה לסירובה היה בישראליות יתר. בשנות ה-80 היא הושפעה ממלחמת לבנון והיא השפיעה על מצב הרוח שלה ועל בחירת השחרים שהקליטה.השיר הללויה גם כן נידחה על ידה בטענה שהעדיפה להנחות את תחרות אירוויזיון 1979 מאשר להתחרות בו כזמרת.
Yardena Arazi had several offers to sing a songs that were representing Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest but she turns the offers down. The songs were Hi(Israel ESC 1983) that Ofra Haza sang at last , Kaan(Israel 1991) that the Duo Datz sang and Hallelujh of course. She preferred to be on of the hosts os ESC 1979 rather then be one of the artists competing there. The reason for rejecting th songs is that there were too much patriotic for her.

In the end of the article Yuval Niv is asking Shlomit Aharon about Hallelujah and she said that it was her fault that she did not sing the song. There were arguments among the members of the band and the outcome of it was that she did not sing the song but there was a twist that she sang later the song with Reuven Gvirtz who was one members of the band and now his son is married with her daughter and they even share a grandaughter together.

מלטה - מלטה שיבצה את 16 האומנים אשר ישתתפו בקדם שלה לתחרות אירווזיון הילדים 2022. הקדם יתקיים ב- 2/10/22. 75% מהקולות יבואו מחבר השופטים ו-25% מהקולות יבואו מקהל הבוחרים. בכל מקרה יפרסמו רק את שלושת אשר יגיעו ראשונים.

Denmark was the first country to announce that it's final is going to be on 11/2/23. 8 songs are going to participate in it's final for ESC 2023.

Artists who want to take paert can submit their applictions now and not later than 28/10/22.

Estonia is following denmark and also decided that it's final for ESC 2023 will be on 11/2/23.In the Estoniam Eesti laul there will be 2 semi finals on
12-14/1/23 and final on 11/2/23. Artists who want to take part have to meet the foloowing requirements:
עליהם להגיש את המועמדות שלהם לא יאוחר מ-20/10/22. כמו כן הגשת המועמדות כרוכה בתשלום. אם זה לשירים בשפה המקומית אז האומן צריך לשלם 50 יורו בלבד אבל אם השיר הורא בשפה זרה או ב-2 שפות הם צריכים לשלם 100 יורו. במידה ויגישו המועמדות לאחר תאריך זה זה כרוך בתשלום כפול דהיינו לשירים אסטוניים 100 יורו ולשירים זרים 200 יורו.
The applicants have to submit their applications not later than 20/10/22.if they submit their applications before 20/10/22 they will have to pay 50 Euros for Estonian song and 100 Euros for song in other languages.Artists who want to submit later will have to pay twice accordingly.
כמו כן כל זמר יכול להגיש עד 5 שירים בקדם הנ"ל.
Each artist can submit up till 5 songs to the Estonian preselection for ESC 2023.
אלבניה הודיעה כי השנה בקדם , הקהל יוכל לשאת דברו אבל לא נמסרה בהודעה אחוז המשוקלל שלו.
Albania said that this year there will be public televoting in Festgivali I Keneges. They did not quote it's ratio in the contest.

רשות השידור המלטזית הודיעה כי גמר קדם המלטזי לתחרות אירוויזיון 2023 יתקיים ב- 11/2/23. בקדם המלטזי יהיו 4 רבע גמר חצי גצר אחד וגמר אחד. בקדם המלטזי ישתתפו 40 שירים. 10 שירים בכל רבע גמר ומכל כל רבע גמר יעפילו 6 שירים. בחצי הגמר יתמודדו 24 שירים מתוכם 16 שירים יעפילו לגמר.
The Maltese TV informed that the Maltese final preselection foe ESC 2023 is going to be on 11/2/23. In the Maltese prese preselection there will be 4 quarters fina , 1 semifinal and 1 final. 40 songs are going to compete in the maltese preselectiom. 10 songs on each quarter, From each quarter 6 songs will go to simifina. Thus in semifinal 24 songs are going to compete and in the final only 16 are going to participate.

A new season of Eurovision is coming and various countries opened their submission for artists to participate in their preselections for ESC 2023.
ישראל - ראשית המנהלים של נועה קירל עורכים מחנה קיץ למלחינים ולזמרת עצמה בה ייבחר ויכתב השיר שנועה תשיר מעל במת האירוויזיון באנגליה. קיימים שמועות לגבי השתתפותם של המלחינים הבאים : דורון מדלי , רון ביטון , ג'ורדי , ניצן ריקוב , איתי שמעוני ואיתי פלד. נועה קירל תיקח חלק פעיל במחנה זה.
Israel - A song writer camp will be held in Israel where Noa Kirl and some songwriters will meet and compose the song that is going to represent israel in coming ESC 2023. There a rumours that the following songwriters are going to participate : Doron Medalie , Ron Beaton , Jordei , Nitzan Rakov , Itay Shimoni and Eitan Peled. Noa Kirl is going to play an active role in this camp.

The rest of the countries opened their submissions and call their artists to take part in their preselections.
סרביה היתה מדינה הראשונה שיצאה בקול קורא. על האומנים להגיש את הבקשות החל מ-1/9/22 ועד ה- 15/10/22.
Serbia was the first country to open it's submissions. Artists who can to take part can send their submissions from 1/9/22 till 15/10/22.
כמו כל על האומנים לעמוד בתנאים הבאים בעת הגשת השיר.
The artists have also to comply with the followings rules:
* שפת השיר חייבת להיות באחת השפות הרשמיות הנהוגות בסרביה. השפות הרשמיות הנהוגות בסרביה הן : סרבית , אלבנית , הונגרית , רומנית קרואטית , סלובקית ואוקראינית.
The song has to be in one of the official languages in Serbia.
* בעת הגשת השיר יש לכלול את הפרטים הבאים " שם השיר , המילים , ביוגרפיה מלאה של הזמר , כתובת האי מייל שלו , הרשתות החברתיות בהן הוא פעיל והדרכים ליצירת קשר עימו.
The application have to include the name of the song , The lyrics of the song , A full biography of the artists, His email address and his social networks he is activating. Also the artists has to notify the ways he can be contacted.
* על השיר להתפרסם רק לאחר 1/9/22.
The song has to be released after the 1/9/22.
* מספר האנשים היכולים להופיע בעת ובעונה על הבמה הינו 6 אנשים בלבד.
The number of paeople allowed on stage is limited to 6 people only.
* גיל האנשים המופיעים על הבמה חייב להיות מעל גיל 16 במאי 2023
The age of people on stage should br above 16 years old on may 2023.

ספרד היא המדינה שיצאה בקול קורא לאמנים להשתתף ב- Benidorm Festival. הקדם הספרדי לתחרות אירוויזיון 2023.
Spain had also opened it's submissions and call to artists to participate in Benidorm festival for ESC 2023.
* אמנים הרוצים להשתתף בפסטיבל עליהם להגיש את המועמדות החל מ-1/9/22 ועד ה-12/10/22.
Artists wishes to take part can submit their applicated from 1/9/22 till 12/10/22.
כמו כל האומנים לעמוד בתנאים הבאים בעת הגשת המועמדות שלהם.
Artists who want to take part have to meet the following prerequisites:
* הזמר חייב להיות אזרח או תושב ספרד.
The artists has to hold Spanish citizenhip or to be Spanish residency.
* במקרה של להקה על 50% מחברי הלהקה להיות תושבי או אזרחי ספרד.
50% of the band members have to carry Spainish citizenship or residency.
* אחד ממלחיני השיר חייב להיות תושב או אזרח ספרדי.
One of the song composers has to be Spanish residence or Spanish citizen
* השיר חייב להיות באחד מהשפות הרשמיות של במדינה אבל יכולים לכתוב 40% ממילות השיר בכל שפה שיחפצו בה.
The song must be in one of the official languages of Spain but the lyrics of the song can be in any language but not more than 40% of the song.
* רשות השידור הספרדית שומרת עצמה הזכות להזמין אומנים נוספים אשר לא הגישו את מועמדותם להשתתף בפסטיבל.
RTVE reseve the right to invite other artists to take part in the benidorm Festival.

In the 2 semi finals 16 song are going to compete and in the final 8 songs is goimng to compete. RTVE reserve the right to choose another 6 artists in case one of the artists will not be able to attend the Festival so one of the 6 artists is going to replace him.
שקלול ההצבעה יהיה כדלקמן - 50% מכלל הקולות יבוא מחבר שיפוט בינאומיץ בחבר השיפוט בינלאומי יהיו אומנים מקומיים ובינלאומיים. 25% מהקולחות יבואו מחבר שופטים אקראי ו- 25% יבואו מקהל הבוחרים.
The votes for the Festival will 50% from Professional Jury . 25% from demoscopic Jury and 25 % from Public Voting.

Well we are approaching to a new season in the Eurovision Song Contest . From 1/9/22 we can disclosed the song you are submitting to the various prreselections. Sone countries give us information about changing the format in selecting their songs for the contest. Uk did not decide on which city is going to host the contest but for the third time prerecorded backing vocals will be allowed in the contest.

The VRT broadcasting service informed us that this year they are going to narrate a preselection and actually the audience is going to select the Belgian song for ESC 2023. This is the first time since 2014. Betweem 2015-2022 the Belgian broadcasters themselves select the singer and the song for the ESC contestץ The duration of the Belgian preselection will be over 5-7 weeks.

Georgia - Georgia decided this year to change the reality show who is going to select the Georgian representative to ESC 2023. The local show
The Voice is going to select the Georgian representative to ESC 2023 instead of Georgian Talent. Artists who wishes to take part can submit heir applications from 20/8/22 till 20/9//22.
שוויצריה - רשות השידור השוויצרית הודיעה כי אמנים הרוצים להשתתף בקדם השוויצרי יכולים להגיש את המועמדות שלהם החל מ- 25/8/22 ועד 8/9/22 שעה 22:00 שעון מקומי.
כל השירים ייבחנו על ידי 2 צוותי שיפוט ומשקל כל שוות צוות יהווה 50%. הצוות הראשון שיבחן את השירים יהיה קבוצה בת 100 אנשים הנמנים מאוהדי תחרות האירוויזיון. הצוות השנני יורכב מ-20 שופטים ששפטו במדינותיהם בעבר בקדמים השונים בעבר.
אין הגבלות לגבי נתינות הזמר או השפה בה ייבחר לשיר את השיר אבל במקרה של שוויון תינתן עדיפות לזמר בעל הנתינות או תושב המדינה.השיר השוויצרי לתחרות אירווזיון 2023 ייחשף בתחילת שנת 2023..
Switzerland - The Swiss broadcasting serivice informed that artists who wanr to take prt in the Swiss preselection for ESC 2023 can submit their applications from 25/8/22 till 8/9/2 22:00 local time.Each song is going to be evalulated by 2 jury members. The first jury composed of 100 Eurvision fans and the second jury composed os 20 proffesional members who were judges in their homeland preselections. Each jury voe will be 50% of the overhall votes.
There is no limit of the nationality of the artists or in the language he wants to sing but in case of even a preferance will be given to the Swiss Nationality or Residence. The Swiss entry for ESC 2023 is going to be closed in the beginning of 2023.
שבדיה - בקדם השבדי ישתתפו 28 שירים. 10 שירים חייבים להיות בשפה השבדית אבל ניתן להגיש אותו שיר כמה פעמים בתנאי שיושר בשפות שונות.
Sweden - In the Swedish Melodfestivalen there will be 28 songs. 10 songs will be in the Swedish language. Any song can be presented more than 1 time but the lyrics should be in a different language..
כמו כל עליהם לעמוד בתנאים נוספים שהם:
The artists should comply with additional prerequisites:
50% מהמלחינים והכותבי חייבים להיות נשים.
50% of the composers and the lyricits should be a women.
אורך השיר יהיה בין 2-3 דקות ויעמדו בדרישות האירוויזיון.
Te duration of the song should be 2-3 minutes long comply with the Eurovision rules.
על הבמה מותר להיות עד 8 אנשים. במידה והשיר יזכה בתחרות אז על במת האירווזיון יותר 6 אנשים בלבד.
8 people allowed to be on stage but in case the somng will win the preselection then the numbers of people that will be on stage will be reduced to
6 people only.

1 The artist can sing the song in any language he wishes and can come from any country .

בתחילת השבוע צביקה פיק - המאסטרו החלך לעולמו ובגליון 7 לילות של ידיעות אחרונות רז שכניק סיפור את הסיפורי מאחורי הקלעים של השיר האלמותי דיווה. השיר שהביא את תחרות האירווזיון פעם שניה לישראל בשנת 1998.
in the begiining of the week Svika Pick - The Maestro had passed away. Raz Schecnik from Yedihuth Achronoth wrote an article about the songs he had composed. One if the songs was Diva the ultimate song that won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998 in Birminghan United Kingdom. Dana actually brought the Eurovision contest for the second time to Jerusalem Israel.
השיר דיווה הולחן על ידי צביקה פיק ומילות השיר נכתבו על ידי יואב גינאי.הביצוע כמובן היה של דנה אינטרנשיונל.
The song Diva was composed by the Maestro Svika Pick . Yoav Ginai wrote the lyrics abd Dana International was the singer of it.

Raz Schecnick wrote in his article:
"שמעתי על דנה הרבה מהמועדונים בניינטיז" , סיפר פיק בראיון לידיעות אחרונות ."רציתי לכתוב לה שיר רציני , לא צחוקים להופעות, כי בהתחלה היה הייתה יותר ידועה כדראג -שואו. בסופו של דבר עשיתי איתה מעט מאוד דברים , אבל יצאו להיטי ענק , שבזמנו גם שברו תקרות זכוכית מבחינתה. ב-1998 פנו אליי מרשות השידור , כמו לכל מלחינים , וביקשו שני שירים .לא אמרו לאיזה אמן. הלחנתי שני שירים, אחד להיי פייב והשני היה 'דיווה'. רציתי שדנה תשיר אותו , הרגשתי שהוא מתאים לקול שלה. יצרתי קשר עם יואב גינאי כדי שיכתוב מילים , ועם עופר ניסים , המנהל של דנה אז. עופר שלח אותה אליי והשמעתי לה את השיר כמו שאני הקלטתי אותו. אני זוכר שהיא הלכה די מהר כי נהג חיכה לה למטה"
" I had heard about Dana from the Clubs in the ninetees." Pick was saying in his previous intervierws to Yedihuth Achronoth. " I wanted to compose her a serious song" On that time she was in the drag show buisness. In 1998 IBA had asked me like other copmpsers to compose 2 songs. They did not diclose the names of the singers to whom the songs was applied. I composed 2 songs , the first one was coposed to High 5 band and the other one Diva .
I wanted that Dana will sing it because it had fitted her. I called to Yoav Ginai that he write the lyrics of the song. I also called to Offer Nissim who was her manager on that time. Offer Nisim send dana and she heard the song but she went shortly because the taxi driver was waiting for her.

יואב גינאי : 'דיוה לנצח' , כך כתב לי צביקב פיק בוואטסאפ , ממש לפני שבועיים כששלח לי בהתרגשות גרסה חדשה של השיר בגרמנית. את 'דיווה' כתבתי במונית בניו-יורק בהשראת תקליטן במועדון שהציג את הזמרת שלצידו כ'דיווה שלי' . את הטקסט הרצוף בשמות של נשים גדולות מהחיים ייעדתי לדנה אינטרנשיונל שמבחינתי היתה המתאימה ביותר לנצח באירוויזיון. החלטתי למסור בעצמי את הטקסט לצביקה פיק מתוך אמונה שמלחין מחונן , מי שיצר להיטי פופ ענקיים , יוכל לפצח את הנוסחה הנכונה הייחודית שבהובלתה של דנה ויעצים את הסיכוי לנצחון"
Yoav Ginai: 'Diva Forever' Svika wrote me in the watsup. He sent me the song in a German version. I wrote Diva in a voyage with a taxi driver. The inspiration for the name I got from a noght club where the DJ had represented the singer as a his own Diva. The text with the big names he had devoted for Dana International that was suitable to sing this song. I decided to give this song to Svika Pick who was a genius composer. He could have found the right solution that the song would win the Eurovision song Contest.

And this is the story how it happened:
"במאי 1988 בברמינגהאם , אחרי הצבעה מורטת עצבים , עלינו דנה צביקה ואני לבמה כזוכים הגדולים בתחרות . השיר עשה ועודנו עושה היסטוריה בכך שהפך סמל בינלאומי לטולרנטיות ולקבלת האחר. עבור צביקה זה היה פרס מיוחד שהזניק לו מחדש את הקריירה שהגיעה לשיא עם העלאת 'מרי לו' , המחזמר משיריו בתיאטרון הלאומי הבימה".
In May 1988 on Birmingham at last Svika , Dana and me went on stage. as the winners of the contest. The song made a history and he became the sign of tolerence and accepting the other. For Pick it was a prize that enlighten his carrer with his show 'Mary Lou' in the Habimah national theatre.
פיק: " מהרגע הראשון חשבתי שזה שיר מצויין , ואמרתי שאם הביצוע והעיבוד יהיו טובים . 'דיווה' יכול לזכות באירוויזיון. באנגליה , ההימורים שמו אותנו במקום העשירי גג, לא ספרו אוצנו כמועמדים לזכיה . הרגשתי שזה מתאים לנו שלא ישימו לב, הייתי בטוח שהשיר יזכה מההתחלה. בחדר שבו מקבלים האקרידיטציות לתחרות , שאלתי את הבחורה האחראית מהבי-בי-סי מאיפה עולים לבמה שיש ניצחון . כולם צחקו , אולי חשבו שאני חי באיזה סרט , אבל אני חייכתי . אותה גברת באה כדי לקרוא לי לבמה כשהשיר ניצח"
Pick ; "from the beginning i thought that this is a superb song. I thought that if the song performed well the chanches that he will win the contest is quite high. In the accreditation center i had asked the lady from where we are going to enter the stage as a winner. Everybody there was laughing because they believed that this song is going to reach the tenth place only. The irony of fate that this lady came and asked me to enter to the stage as the winner of the contest.

"הרווחתי , אבל לא הרבה . אני מאוד אוהב את דנה אינטרנשיונל , למרות שהיו תקופות של מתחים בינינו. עכשו אנו מדברים על לעשות עוד שירים."
I did not make much but I love Dana International . There was time we did not get well but we were talking about making songs together.
דנה אינטרנשיוניל :" מי שבאמת היתה האם היולדת של דיווה זה יואב גינאי . סיפר שיצא ממועדון בניו-יורק בשעות הלילה נושק לבוקר , טייל ברחובות , חשב עליי , הוציא קופסת גפרורים או משהו דומה והחל לכתוב את המילים שיפזמו שנה אחרי בכל העולם. כשחזר הוא שלח לנו את השיר בפקס , והאמת? השיר נדחף למגירה. לא ממש היינו בעניין של אירוויזיון. לא היה לחן ואפשר להודות שדם הטקסט לא הלהיב אותנו נורא. אבל גינאי הוא לא אחד שמוותר. כשהבין שהטקסט צפוי לסיים את חייו בחשיכת המגירה והתאריך לסיום מועד שליחת השחרים מתקרב. הוא שרל אם איכפת לנו שיעביר את הטקסט לפיק , לא היה אכפת".
Dana International : Yoav Ginai had actually wrote the song. Yoav told that he was thinking about me and he wrote the song on a box of matches as he went out from a club in New York. He had fax us the song. At first we did not like the song and we put it aside. We were not thing about the Eurovision Song Contest. Yoav did not give up and asked if we can give the song to Svika Pick for composing it. We told him yes.

And what happened afterwords?
"יומיים אחרי צביקה הגיע להשמיע את השיר על הפסנתר . הלכנו לאולפן . סקיצה , נסיון . וביום האחרון להגשת השירים נמסרה בבהילות מעטפה אצל השומר בכניסה לאולפני הרדיו בקריה בתל-אביב. בוועדה שבחרה את השירים ניטש ויכוח מר . 'דיוה' או בלדת פסנתר של ארקדי דוכין. אלה אומרים שהוא יותר מכובד ואלו האומרים שהיא יותר מתאימה. בסוף על חודו של קול אחד , 'דיוה' נבחר אני היייתי באוטו כששמעתי את קריין החדשות מודיע : ' שירם של צביקה פיק ויואב גינאי בביצועה של דנה אינטרנשיונל , דיוה, נבחר לייצג את ישראל באירוויזיון ' . וככה החל מסע של השיר שאף אחד לא העז אפילו לחלום , עד לאן הוא יגיע וכמה שהוא יהיה אינסופי".
Two days later Zvika Pick came and played the song on a piano. Then there was a sketch of the song .We had submitted song in the last day of submissions and we gave the application to the guard in the Radio Station in tel-Aviv. In the commitee there was a big dispute which song is going to represent Israel in the ESC. Diva won in 1 point and I had heard in the radio saying that the song of Svika pick , Yoav Ginai and Dana International is going to represent israel in the coming ESC.Here start the never ending story of this song.
