אתמול התקיים הגמר בקדם האיסלנדי לתחרות אירוויזיון 2023. בקדם השתתפו 5 שירים אבל רק שיר אחד זכה וייצג את איסלנד בתחרות אירוויזיון 2023.

יש לציין שבשני חצאי הגמר האמנים היו מחוייבים לשיר בשפה האיסלנדית. בגמר האומן יכול לשיר בכל שפה שירצה אבל הוא חייב לשיר באותה שפה שבחר בגמר בתחרות האירוויזיון עצמה. לכן אין וידאו קליפים של ההופעה החיה באנגלית. בגמר זו תהיה למעשה ההופעה החיה הראשונה באנגלית.

In Iceland they artists should sing in Icelandic in the two semifinals but in the final they can sing in any language they prefer. In the Eurovision itself they have to sing in the same language they sang in the final. That's why there no live performances in english and actually this was the first time they sang in english alive.
