רפובליקת סן מרינו חשפה את שירה לתחרות הזמר האירופית הבאה בשטוקהולם.
הזמר הוא סרחאת Serhat הטורקי ושם השיר שישיר באירוויזיון נקרא בשם " אני לא יודע" I didn't know
הזמר סרחאת מייצג את אירופה העכשווית כלומר מוצאו אכן מטורקיה והוא נולד באיסטנבול. לאחר מכם היא היגר לגרמניה ושם הוא מתגורר. רשות השידור של סן מרינו פנתה אליו שייצג אותה בתחרות האירווזיון לאור ההצלחה הרבה שנחל בעקבות שירו Je M'adore.
לשיר יהיו גם 2 גרסאות נוספות האחת בשפה האיטלקית והשנייה בשפה הצרפתית.
